Alexander Dunchev may have chosen his people before the party decision and will follow the departed Hristanov
A new scandal over the lists rocked the party led by Kiril Petkov and Asen Vasilev “We continue the change”. One of the prominent persons – Alexander Dunchev, announced on Facebook with an angry post that the structure in Sofia region does not accept that their leader is from “Democratic Bulgaria” and accused the leadership of treason.
A warning that Dunchev will be “betrayed” by the “good forces” and “dexterously removed” was first published on Facebook by the environmentalist from “Let’s Save Coral” Atanas Rusev. Did it late Thursday night. Rusev accused the leaders of the “Change” (without naming specific names, but calling them “white collars from Harvard”) that they lied to people’s hopes and forgot nature forever.
There is a decision of the IS of the PP that the guide for Sofia-region should already be from DB. Fair enough. But, unfortunately, this decision and the manner in which it was made was perceived by the PP team in Sofia region as a betrayal that they cannot continue with due to loss of trust. And I had to choose: the team or the IS solution. It wasn’t difficult… Which would you choose? Dunchev wrote yesterday.
However, it is not clear from his post whether he is leaving the party, but there is a veiled message that the entire structure seems to refuse to participate in the PP anymore. Asked by “24 Chasa”, Dunchev did not answer his mobile phone.
In the last elections, the ecologist was the leader of the PP in Sofia region. Before becoming an MP, he was the head of the Forestry Executive Agency in Stefan Yanev’s first official cabinet in 2021. Dunchev was expected to occupy the same position during the administration of Kiril Petkov’s cabinet, but then the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry was given to BSP.
10 days ago, “Promyanata” left another prominent person – the former Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ivan Hristanov, who does not agree that the leader in Pleven will be the breakaway from ITN and former sports minister Radostin Vasilev.
After signing to run jointly in the elections, PP and DB shared the first places in the lists in a ratio of 3:1. The decision for this was confirmed by the Executive Council of the PP a day ago.
Those in the know, however, revealed that there was also tension in the DB with structures that did not accept that their leader was from the party of Petkov and Vassilev.
