Cristiano Ronaldo, the star of Juventus goes even further into the history of football. The Portuguese player became the first player to achieve the distinction of top scorer in the major leagues namely Italy, Spain and England. Even though the iconic No.7 didn’t play the last game of the season, he still finished top scorer in Serie A with 29 goals.
This Sunday evening, Juventus of Turin largely beat Bologna by a river score of 4-1 qualifying for the Champions League. With his 29 goals Cristiano Ronaldo is ahead of Romelu Lukaku (24 goals with Inter Milan) and Luis Muriel (22 goals with Atalanta).

This is the first time that Cristiano Ronaldo has been awarded the prize for top scorer in Serie A. Indeed, in 2018-2019 he was overtaken by Fabio Quagliarella and in 2019-2020, it is Ciro Immobile who will snatch him this distinction. These missed top scorer distinctions did not discourage Cristiano who continued to work and here he was rewarding. Thus, he becomes the first player to win this distinction in Italy with Juventus, in Spain with Real Madrid and in England with Manchester United.
That’s not all, Cristiano Ronaldo also becomes the first Juventus player to become Serie A top scorer since Alessandro Del Piero in 2007-2008. Thirteen years later, Cristiano breaks this curse as he knows how to do so well. He is the record-keeper.
This distinction comes as a reward for a fairly tumultuous season after a painful elimination from the Champions League for the five-time golden ball.
