A new reality show for The Sims

As esports become more popular even with mainstream media, the American television channel TBS is embarking on another type of adventure, a competitive reality TV show with flavor. The Sims.

The name of the new reality TV which will start exclusively on TBS next Friday is The Sims Spark’d. The show will take the form of a competition where the selected players will have to complete challenges in each episode. These challenges will prompt players to create unique scenarios and the winner will be the one who created the most exciting story, characters and scenery.

It is therefore a creative competition where participants will have to be original in their scenario to impress the judges. The grand winner will have the chance to leave the competition with $ 100,000 in cash prizes. The series will span four episodes and the creations of the participants will be made in the latest installment of the franchise, The Sims 4 created by Electronic Arts.

The new emission concept was created in partnership with ELeague and the YouTube channel Buzzfeed Multiplayer. That’s why the show will feature Dave Miotke, a producer at EA, and Kelsey Impicciche, a Buzzfeed employee, among the competition judges. No information has yet been given on the challenges that the players will have to complete, but we can assume that they will require a lot of creative work on the part of the participants to make everything interesting.
