A new outbreak of five positives for coronavirus, in Gijón, brings the confirmed cases to 29 today | Radio Asturias

The Ministry of Health has declared a new coronavirus outbreak in Asturias, the first related to a social celebration, in this case, a birthday. They are five members of two families from Health Area V, with head in Gijón. All affected people remain in home isolation with mild symptoms of the disease.

In Castropol, a new case brings the positives from the bar to 7 La Casilla and 2 more cases have been confirmed in the outbreak that affects a group of students who had traveled to Malaga. The Ministry of Health calls on customers of the La Casilla bar who have been in the aforementioned establishment between July 23 and August 1 to perform the PCR test.

The Minister of Health, Pablo Fernandez assured that the strategy followed in Asturias for the rapid detection of new infections is allowing the Principality to appear among the Spanish communities with a lower number of hospitalizations.
