While the Fortnite Champion Series duo has just ended, the publisher Epic Games took everyone by surprise on Friday by announcing a new competition: the Fortnite Champion Series Invitational, which is set to start on May 9 in seven different regions of the world.

Solo competition
This official surprise tournament will bring together the cream of the crop of players from the different seasons of the Fortnite Champion Series, and will have a total stake of two million dollars. The top 100 players from FNCS Chapter 2 season 2 on PC, FNCS Chapter 2 season 2 on consoles, FNCS Chapter 2 season 1 and FNCS season X are invited, as well as 100 players specially selected by Epic Games. In addition, 100 additional Champion rank players will also have the opportunity to qualify on May 2, bringing the number of opponents vying per region to 600.

The format of the competition is this time dedicated to the solo. The grand final will take place on May 23 and 24. Many Swiss players, such as the Fribourgeois Kinstaar, the Vaudois 4zr, the Neuchâtelois Vato or the Genevese Airwaks, will participate in the event.
