A new MSAE headquarters will be built with a multifunctional medical platform (President)

Dakar, Jan 7 (APS) – The new headquarters of the State Employees Health Mutual (MSAE) which will be built in Dakar, will host a multifunctional medical platform with the support of foreign partners, announced the president of its executive office Babacar Ngom.

“ The new headquarters of the MSAE is a 6-storey building located on Avenue Bourguiba, built on own funds by the mutual without bank loan or any mortgage of securities and values ​​of the mutual, after call for competition ”, clarified the Executive Director.

He presented Thursday the report of the activities of the mutual between 2016-2019 and the prospects, during a press conference.

The mutual now has nearly 40,000 members, or 150,000 beneficiaries distributed throughout the territory, in its 45 departmental sections, he said.

The structure has thus set up its own health structures open to all and applying tariffs, in particular the dental offices of Kaolack in 2007 and Ziguinchor in 2015, for “ better access of its beneficiaries to quality care and good contribution to universal health coverage for populations, ” Mr. Ngom also recalled.

During his mandate between 2016 and 2019, he added, this system was reinforced with the opening of a dental practice in Dagana in 2017 and of a mutual health center in Ziguinchor in 2019, in partnership with the Faculty of Health Sciences of Assane Seck University.

“The network has been intensified and diversified with the aim of mobilizing technical and financial partners around our projects, in particular the establishment of the medical-social center of hospital dimension planned in Djibélor”, he indicated.

He underlined the “ strengthening of the land heritage ” of the mutual insurance company with the acquisitions of land in Saint-Louis, Tambacounda, Dagana and Djibélor and three villas built on the national territory in particular at the HLM Nema of Ziguinchor, in Cap Skiring and in Kolda.

“We want, by 2035, to make the Mutual of State agents an enviable and competitive health insurance body, ensuring leadership in sub-Saharan Africa,” he said.
