Missile fire from the Gaza Strip on Israeli territory has triggered warning sirens in the country, Haaretz said.
“A missile was fired from the Gaza Strip in Israel. It was intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system,” the military said in a statement.
Earlier, it was reported that air raid sirens sounded in the town of Sderot and areas in southern Israel near the Gaza Strip on Saturday, warning residents of possible missile attacks.
There are no reports of deaths or injuries.
