Notably, it was little Adel who had the privilege of being the 10,000th newborn to see the light of day in this modern hospital, inaugurated in 2019 by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA). To celebrate this event, the Turkish Ambassador to Niger, Özgür Çınar, went to the hospital to congratulate the happy parents, the ABALLA couple.
On this occasion, he gave them generous gifts. In addition, the parents expressed their gratitude to the hospital staff and thanked the ambassador for the many gifts given to their baby.
Since its opening, the Niger-Turkey Friendship Hospital has established itself as a benchmark establishment in the region, offering quality care to pregnant women and newborns. Thus, this 10,000th baby is a symbol of Turkey’s commitment to supporting the development of the health sector in Niger and strengthening the ties of friendship between the two countries. Indeed, it shows that cooperation between countries can have a real impact on the lives of populations.
As Albert Schweitzer said, “Life only has meaning if it serves to make the lives of others better.” In conclusion, this 10,000th birth is tangible proof of this philosophy. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this success.
