In the run-up to Windows 11, Microsoft is introducing more and more standard apps, matching the new house style of the upcoming operating system. Windows Insiders can now start using the redesigned Calculator, Mail and Calendar app, and Snipping Tool.

Adjustments on the calculator are accurate. The window has rounded corners and a dark mode for the first time. It depends on the Windows 11 theme to be selected. You can set a dark calculator if the operating system itself has a light theme, or vice versa.
The email and calendar windows are also rounded, with a dark gray background color option.
Cutting is more than just appearance, although you will also find rounded corners and a dark mode here. Windows 10 currently has two different ways to instantly take and edit screenshots: Snipping Tool and Snipping & Annotating.
The Snipping Tool in Windows 11 combines both in one easy-to-use application, which can be invoked via a key combination Windows key + Shift + S. The screenshot is saved to the clipboard for easy pasting elsewhere.
Download Windows 11
Windows 11 is available to try on Windows 10 PCs through the Windows Insider Program. There are now also standard app updates available. It is not recommended to download Windows 11 outside of this official channel. The internet is teeming with rogue installation files that only introduce malware.
