A new ICU market is opening in Olomouc, Lidl is finishing up in Šibenik

The company JIP východočeská, the largest Czech company operating in the food industry on the domestic market, adapted one of the commercial premises in Holická Street in the area in the neighborhood of Baumax for its needs, where, for example, the distribution and planning office of the furniture giant IKEA is located.

In the modern store of the East Bohemian brand, customers will find an artisan bakery, a butcher’s shop, to which the JIP company supplies meat and meat products from its own slaughterhouse, and a live and chilled fish and seafood section.

In addition to the usual assortment, organic and farm products, it promises an extensive selection of fruits and vegetables from domestic and foreign growers.

“The specialty of the new Olomouc store, which has no parallels elsewhere, is also the Sushi Point, where you can have freshly prepared sushi of various kinds every day,” the company informed.

JIP Cash&Carry stores offer business customers and the public more than 30,000 items. Entrepreneurs have discounted prices thanks to the customer card.

The JIP East Bohemian Group is one of the largest family companies in the Czech Republic. It was built by Jan and Ivo Plšk, whose initials form the name of the company JIP. They created a wholesale business with a network of 17 large warehouses plus a network of 30 own retail and 13 Cash&Carry stores, the newest of which will open on July 15 in Holická Street in Olomouc.

In Olomouc this year, the Lidl and Penny brands expanded their network of stores. Lidl opened a branch in the premises of the Haná shopping center in May.

He originally intended to implement this fifth Olomouc branch in Wolkerova Street, but eventually abandoned this location and focused on another address in the same district.

In March, the Penny chain opened another store in Olomouc in the new building of an apartment building, where Lidl was supposed to occupy the entire ground floor tract along Wolkerova street.

The Lidl company is already investing in another store in Olomouc, the sixth in the order in the regional city. It should open in about a month as part of a new development in the former area of ​​the repair plant in Šibenik.

This year, in April, the modernized hypermarket in Štursová street was put into operation by the Kaufland chain, which last autumn opened the most modern Kaufland in Moravia in Olomouc-Neředín.
