The President of the executive office of the State Employees’ Health Mutual (MSAE), Babacar Ngom, presented this Thursday, December 07, the report of the activities of the mutual between 2016-2019 and prospects, during a conference Press.
Coming to chair the meeting, Mr. Ngom said that the mutual now has nearly 40,000 members, or 150,000 beneficiaries spread across the country, in its 45 departmental sections.
Taking the opportunity, he informed that the new headquarters of the State Employees Health Mutual (MSAE) will be built in Dakar and will accommodate a multifunctional medical platform with the support of foreign partners.
He also announced that “ the new headquarters of the MSAE is a 6-storey building located on Avenue Bourguiba, built on equity by the mutual without bank loan or any mortgage of securities and values of the mutual, after appeal to competition ”.
According to him, the executive office strengthened the land holdings of the State Employees’ Health Mutual by acquiring land in Saint Louis, Tambacounda, Dagana and villas in Ziguinchor, Cap Skiring and Kolda. This in order to house the agencies or future projects and programs of the Mutual.
Mr Babacar Ngom also recalled that the structure has set up its own health structures open to all and applying tariffs, in particular the dental offices of Kaolack in 2007 and Ziguinchor in 2015, to guarantee better access of its beneficiaries to quality care and a good contribution to universal health coverage for populations.
Ultimately, Executive Director Babacar Ngom aims to make the MSAE an enviable and competitive health insurance body, providing leadership in sub-Saharan Africa by 2035.
