A new feature that can show users what friends really think of them

WhatsApp will release a major update that will allow users to know what people think of their messages.

A new feature being rolled out suggests app users will soon be able to “reply” to messages, with similar features already available on Facebook, Instagram and iMessage.

WhatsApp users for iPhone and iPad will soon get a “Manage interaction notifications” option in their settings – indicating that interaction functionality isn’t far behind.

Android and other users will likely adopt the feature in the near future.

WhatsApp Insider WABetaInfo said: “WhatsApp is introducing settings to manage feedback notifications, but messages cannot be replied to.

“But the fact that it’s possible to manage these preferences suggests that message feedback will be available very soon.”

More new features are set to be added to the messaging platform in 2022, they say 91mobiles.com

This includes hiding your Last Seen from specific contacts, Instagram reels, and a Read Later folder.

There are currently more than 40 million WhatsApp users in the UK.
