Ecuadorian families and their idiosyncrasies are part of the inspiration for this story. Together and Scrambled is the new comedy of TC Television, a series featuring Leonardo (David Reinoso), a hardworking and enterprising man who will move to live in his parents’ house with Catalina (Érika Vélez), his current wife, and her daughter.
So far the plot seems simple, but in the same house they will share with their ex-partner Paula (Hilda Saraguayo), mother of his son, as well as with other members who will add humor and mischief to the day to day of this family.
Together and scrambled It is a project that was presented in November 2019 and that a month later was approved to begin its recordings in 2020, without imagining that they would have a pandemic in between, it indicates Catrina tala, director of Rompekbezas Producciones, responsible for this series that tomorrow (Tuesday 19), at 20:00, is broadcast on the channel.
Although the series pilot was featured with another cast, much of that staff was changed. “This project was born by a request of the channel, to look for a comedy type sitcom, in which we participated some producers, and with the scriptwriter we decided to return to that family humor, with which you identify, get down to the dramatic theme and make the hour bearable ”, he says.
The cast of the series, which has 100 episodes scheduled, is also made up of Ruth Coello, Víctor Aráuz, Marcelo Gálvez, Melissa Valverde, Belu Idrobo and Elihu Caldas.
“I believe that products cannot be extended forever, I believe that a product has to have a beginning and an end (…), extending something that works simply for a rating issue and others is killing and programs should not die because they no longer work, but only when the story ends ”, he emphasizes.
Reinoso plays the central character in this plot, Leonardo, a man who has dedicated himself to the sale of automobiles as an activity. “He quits his job for health reasons, he wants a more relaxed life, but that means having less income and that is why he moves to his parents’ house with his wife, her daughter and his ex-wife and son” , details about this situation that, he assures, is common in some families.
Coello is his mother in this fiction, but she has also been in charge of directing the actors and casting. “I am grateful because they have given me confidence, it is a double effort but I have very good help, a cast with professional actors and with David Flor, who is the general director, on whom I rely,” he says.
The actress also emphasizes that the series itself is an example of resistance. The recordings were made during the pandemic, with strict biosafety protocols. “We had to fight with uncertainty and fear, from knowing if production was suddenly cut off, because as artists they moved the floor and our role ceased to be. This series is like resisting and we were able to produce and call others to work with us ”, he admits. (I)
