The young singer Monta and the experienced musician Kārlis Būmeisters have joined together in the romantic song “Vieni”.
The author of the music and lyrics of the new song is Monta herself. “Last year, around the same time, while writing the song, I still didn’t know that it would be a duo and where else with Karl. I just listened to Karl’s music a lot, winter was approaching, it was time for reflection, his music was talking to me.
And then the thought came to me that if I already like Karl’s music so much, then I need a duet with him. This song sounded in my head with him, ”says the singer.
She is glad that Karl agreed to cooperate and entrusted the song “to his hands, to his creative wave”. “We had to sing the song remotely because Kārlis was in Brussels, but we managed to connect in the song as well.”

“In Latvian music, we are not so often able to follow and at the same time keep our fingers crossed for new talents that are growing, stretching and developing before our very eyes,” says Būmeisters. “In such moments, the attitude of the listener is quite an important factor in the musician’s way forward. More important than when the product is already “ready and assembled on the shelves”. I would even say that there is a responsibility in our attitude.
That’s why I felt this responsibility in myself and gladly agreed and gladly collaborated with Monta, a young artist who is no stranger to, so to speak, the old school. Attitude as a basic element of music making.
Moreover, if it goes hand in hand with a wonderful lyrical textual feeling and voice from nature, which is quite peaceful in the studio without autotune, then it is only an additional pleasure for me to be present for this work in the context of music and arrangement, who has every right to become a composition, which could be listened to on radio stations even after 10 years. ”
Singer and songwriter Monta’s debut mini-album “His Second” was released by MicRec in 2020, and the young artist is currently on her way to her first major album.-
Studio work on 12 new songs has already been completed, and the singer already has duets with other artists, including Siegfried Muktupāvels, but Kārlis Būmeisters has participated in the creation of the new song “Vieni” not only as a partner of the song duo, but also as a recording studio producer.
