There are many states in the United States that continue to send stimulus checks to their residents in the form of tax refunds. An example of this is the state of Alaska, where on November 16 payments will be issued for the approximate amount of $1,400.00 USD.This payment will be made thanks to the profits obtained by the state in 2023 from the sale of oil. In addition, the distribution of the money will be in charge of the Permanent Fund Dividend.
For his part, Adam Crum, commissioner of the Alaska Department of Revenue, thanked the Permanent Fund Division for its work during the year. He also noted the official that “2023 marks the 42nd year in which these inhabitants receive their share of the wealth of the state’s natural resources.”
Who will be able to receive these checks?
Although Alaska refers to the amount of $1,400.00 USD, the exact amount of the refund is $1,312.00 USD for each eligible resident.
Here it is important to clarify that applications to receive the payment have already been closed and to qualify, people must meet certain requirements.
For example, they must not have felony convictions and must also demonstrate intentions of wanting to continue living in the state.
Thus, the deadline to submit the application to the Alaska Department of Revenue was March 31. This means that those citizens who did so already have a response from the government.
Meanwhile, beneficiaries who have a status of “Eligible-Not Paid” as a response to their application will be the ones to receive the refund check.
That is, they will be able to obtain their sum of $1312.00 USD next Thursday, November 16. This was confirmed by the Department of Revenue, while noting the number of new eligible people. These are 8,000 new beneficiaries, unlike the applications approved during the previous year.
