The board of directors of Al-Ahly Club decided to close all its branches until the end of the month due to the spread of the new Corona virus (Covid-19).
Al-Ahly statement came as follows:
The club’s board of directors, headed by Captain Mahmoud Al-Khatib, decided to close the three Al-Ahly branches (Al-Jazirah – Nasr City – Sheikh Zayed) from tomorrow until the end of this March.
The decision comes to preserve the safety of club members and workers, and in line with the orientations of the state that is doing its utmost to protect citizens and in compliance with the instructions of the World Health Organization to confront the “Corona” virus that raided the world in the recent period.
The council reassesses matters again at the end of the current month, but the criterion remains that all citizens are safe at all times.
This decision came after the intensive consultations conducted today by Captain Mahmoud Al-Khatib with the members of the Council, and held more than one meeting in the executive management, and before that he met with Rene Fyler, the coach of the first football team, to continue to suspend the team’s training to protect the players, the technical staff and all employees.
This is what the head of Al-Ahly was keen on with the sports activity sector and the rest of the club’s sectors in its three branches, and the aforementioned decision was completed, which comes as part of a series of precautionary measures that have been taken by the Board of Directors since the beginning of the crisis to preserve the general health of all individuals.
