The Municipality confirmed this Wednesday night that there was a new death from coronavirus in Mar del Plata: This is a 90-year-old man who was hospitalized.
The fatal victim is the second of the day since during the afternoon the death of a 68-year-old woman had been confirmed who was hospitalized in the Avenida sanatorium, located in Lamadrid at 3000.
The Argentine Integrated Health Information System (SISA) also detailed that they were detected 32 new infected with coronavirus and thus Mar del Plata reached 714 cases since the start of the pandemic. Of these, 392 remain active.
Also, during the day there were 30 discharges so there are already 299 patients who recovered from the coronavirus.
Regarding the new death, the official party reported that it was a 90-year-old man who had been rushed to a hospital from a nursing home. In this way, Mar del Plata accumulates 24 fatal victims since the beginning of the pandemic.
The first coronavirus death in the city was recorded on March 24, when a 71-year-old man died, and the second occurred on March 28 when the death of a 51-year-old man was confirmed. Both had arrived from Spain.
The third death occurred more than two months later: it was on June 1 and the victim was an 88-year-old woman. Meanwhile, on June 7, an 85-year-old man who was admitted to the Spanish Hospital died.
The fifth fatality occurred on Monday, July 13, when a 92-year-old woman died in the Private Community Hospital (HPC), who had been transferred in serious condition from the Namasté nursing home.
On July 16, the blackest day since the pandemic was declared: four deaths in one day. The victims were three elderly women, 101, 94 and 89 years old; and a man of 65 who were hospitalized in a delicate state and died the same day.
The tenth case occurred on Friday, July 17, and involved a 93-year-old woman who was admitted to the Private Community Hospital.
On Saturday 18, meanwhile, the death of two women, 64 and 80 years old, who were hospitalized at Houssay Hospital, was confirmed, bringing the total to 12.
On Sunday 19, with the death of three residents of the Námaste home – a 74-year-old man and woman hospitalized in the 25 de Mayo clinic, and another 79 under treatment at the Interzonal Hospital – the number of deaths by Covid-19 rose to 15.
On Monday the 20th, an 82-year-old man died at the 25 de Mayo Clinic and a 99-year-old woman, also from the Namasté nursing home, at the Private Community Hospital.
On Wednesday, July 22, an 85-year-old woman died at the Interzonal General de Agudos Hospital (HIGA). Victim number 18 in Mar del Plata had been infected at the Namasté nursing home.
On Thursday, July 23, a 73-year-old woman died of a coronavirus in the city: she was a resident of “Grandparents’ Home” who had a previous serious illness.
While on Saturday, July 25, an 89-year-old resident of the geriatric Namasté died, and on Sunday, July 26, the death of a 95-year-old woman was confirmed “with previous fragile health.” Both were interned in the HPC.
On Monday, July 27, meanwhile, a 92-year-old woman from the geriatric Namasté died, who was also hospitalized at the HPC.
Thus, there are 24 deaths from coronaviruses in Mar del Plata since the start of the pandemic.
