A new cinema will open in Paris. The Jeu de Paume, an art center located in the Tuileries gardens, in the center of the capital, will open a new cinema on November 12.
Classified as “art house” by the CNC, this room located on level – 2 of the art center will accommodate 90 people. According to the Jeu de Paume“no less than 400 sessions” will be offered throughout the year “for all audiences”.
The Jeu de Paume will be keen to defend independent cinema and in particular “first or second films” screened during Critics’ Week in Cannes or at the Champs-Élysées Film Festival.
Sessions will be scheduled for adults from Tuesday to Sunday at 11:15 a.m., 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Children will be entitled to their sessions on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday mornings at 11:45 a.m. And also during school holidays.

The Jeu de Paume is currently hosting a retrospective dedicated to the director Chantal Akerman, who signed Jeanne Dielman, 23, quai du commerce, 1080 Brusselsconsidered the best film of all time.
