A new Bulgarian company for transport services will use only electric buses, as 8 have already been delivered, and a contract has been signed for another 20. Green Point offers short-term or long-term rental of a cargo van with a driver for a specific task.
The selected electric buses are Volkswagen e-Crafter. The model is designed for transport activities in urban areas, with a range of up to 160 kilometers, with a maximum speed limited to 90 km / h. Its advantage over the versions of the model with an internal combustion engine are lower operating costs, driver comfort and last but not least the image of the company using it.

Volkswagen e-Crafter uses an electric motor with 136 hp. and a maximum torque of 290 Nm, with front-wheel drive. Combined electricity consumption of 975 kg. car is 21.54 kW / 100 km.
The lithium-ion rechargeable battery is located at the bottom of the body, which provides a low center of gravity and saves space. Thus, the total load volume is 10.7 m3 and the load capacity is up to one ton.

When using a 40 kW DC high-speed charging station, charging up to 80% of a 35.8 kWh battery takes just 45 minutes. If a 7.2 kW wall-mounted AC charger is used for charging, the rechargeable battery is fully charged to 100% within 5.20 hours.
The delivery of the first 8 buses of the order was the reason for Porsche BG to announce that their subsidiary Moon, which has been operating in Bulgaria since the end of 2020, until recently offering solutions for charging electric cars only for home, is already installing fast charging stations . They can have a capacity of 75 to 300 kilowatts.
