Bulgargaz proposes that the price of natural gas for April be BGN 157.73 per megawatt-hour (EUR 80.65 / MWh). This was announced by the company on its website.
It is shock price increase as it is currently BGN 113.73 per megawatt hour. The increase is as much as 38.7%.
The news comes amid rising prices for natural gas and international markets. On Monday, the value of fuel reached 345 euros per megawatt-hour.
As expected the moratorium on electricity and heat prices will be lifted from April, the new increase may cause a sharp rise in heat prices.
Bulgargaz’s final proposal is expected in early April, after which the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) will determine the final price in a closed session.
