A new batch of Astra Zeneca vaccines arrives this afternoon in the country


Santo Domingo.- The country will receive today some 187,200 doses of Astra Zeneca vaccines against Covid-19, acquired by the Dominican government under the Covax mechanism.

The vaccines will arrive at the International Airport of Las Américas, José Francisco Peña Gómez at 1:50 in the afternoon, from Miami on Avianca Cargo flight 4083.

The new batch of vaccines that will be parked in position B-4, will be received by the Minister of Public Health, Daniel Rivera.

Yesterday the Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña, said that more than 160,000 doses of vaccine against COVID-19 are being applied in one day.

In his Twitter account, he indicated that the country is close to reaching 2,000,000 people vaccinated with at least one dose.
