According to Al-Bayan website, as part of Microsoft’s efforts to enhance the capabilities of its products by using artificial intelligence services such as the GBT chat platform developed by Microsoft-owned OpenAI, the latter said that the new technology known as CoPilot in the Teams program combines The power of large language models used in GPT chat and user data in Microsoft Graph and Microsoft 365 applications.
Microsoft Director Jeff Tepper said in an online message that the new version of Teams is twice as fast as the previous version while occupying half the space on the computer’s hard drive.
It is noteworthy that the applications of office communication platforms aim to facilitate communication between staff members in different companies and institutions and to eliminate the exchange of lengthy e-mail messages. These platforms and applications achieved great spread during the emerging Corona virus pandemic, and most companies and institutions resorted to working from home.
The Slack platform was launched for the first time in 2013, and in December 2020 it was acquired by the American cloud computing services company Salesforce for more than $ 27 billion.
According to Tepper, Microsoft Director, more than 280 million people currently use the Teams application per month, which indicates its superiority over competing applications and platforms, as the number of Slack users is estimated at between 50 and 60 million users per month.
And with the new version of Teams, Microsoft adds a feature similar to the feature provided by Slack some time ago, specifically managing accounts and different profiles on the application.
In this way, the employees of any company can not only link their account in the company with Teams but also their other accounts such as their account on their favorite sports club channel on the application of Teams.
