The Neubrandenburg company IBM Haustechnik Manjah is supporting the fight against cancer on its 25th anniversary. After a self-deprecating speech about his company, which caused a few laughs, managing director Tony Manjah presented a donation check to the Neubrandenburg Tumor Center as part of the celebration. Among the guests was Frank Benischke, head of the Neubrandenburg housing company, and also the mayor of Neubrandenburg, Silvio Witt.
Tony Manjah used the birthday party in Latücht above all to give something. The company had asked all supporters to donate to a non-profit organization instead of bringing gifts.
Long-term partner support
Tony Manjah said the tumor center was chosen as a grant recipient because of, among other things, a long-term reliable collaboration with the clinic. In total, donations amounted to more than 4,000 euros. IBM Haustechnik then finished it to 5000 euros. Dr. Alexander Pietrushka from the Neubrandenburg Tumor Center Support Society accepted the donation check.

“The money ends up in the package and flows into the work of the club,” said the chairman of the tumor center. The association dedicates its work, among other things, to support to give to self-help groups and contribute financially to the training of special staff and equipment in the fields of oncology.
It started as a one-man operation
In 1999, Tony Manjah, a graduate engineer from Syria, established an engineering office for construction services in Neubrandenburg. The only employee back then was himself, he remembers. IBM Haustechnik was founded in 2009 and a branch in Berlin in 2017.
However, most of the employees are still in the four-gate city: “Seventeen of our 22 employees are in Neubrandenburg. We are a Neubrandenburg company,” said Tony Manjah. His company, among other things, did the construction services for the Culture and Education House (HKB) as well as several buildings at the Dietrich Bonhoeffer Clinic and the university.
