In Lviv, in the center of the city, a coffin with a naked girl was carried. The organizer of the performance was the local gallery “Gangrene”, which in such an unusual way decided to attract attention.

The co-founder of the gallery, artist Oleg Gerdiy, explained the concept of this action: “life and freedom and victory over boundaries and death.” According to him, the performance was also a kind of “test of common sense and the limits of the public’s patience.”

In addition, Gerdiy said that his gallery will be closed and there are several reasons for this. First, the owner of the premises raised the rent. And since their business was not profitable, the rise in price was too large.
Another reason was that some of the neighbors complained to the landlord about the actions carried out by the artists. In particular, the local priests did not like the coffin that Gerda bought for his birthday and exhibited in the gallery.
The co-founder of the gallery announced that the closing will be accompanied by a performance and provocative art events that will take place in Lviv.
