On the evening of April 7, the Kyiv funicular was stopped due to the death of a teenager. At first, only Telegram channels wrote about it, but the police did not officially confirm the fact of the murder, and Kyivpastrans stated about the “hooligan incident at the upper station”. Details have now become known.
Photo and video in social networks, testified that a young man was injured in the funicular and lost a lot of blood. A film-covered body can be seen lying in a pool of blood on the stairs, with another boy screaming in despair next to him. According to dtp.kiev.ua, the deceased was 16 years old.
The investigation established that the quarrel started between a minor boy and a man who works as a driver in the State Security Department, it was reported hromadske in the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation.
After leaving the funicular cabin, the law enforcement officer pushed the teenager. He fell and broke the glass with his head. Having cut his neck, he died on the spot.
The detained law enforcement officer is being prepared to be charged with premeditated murder – Part 1 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He may face from 7 to 15 years in prison. The UDO has appointed an internal official investigation.
