A municipal police officer from Anglet was injured during an arrest this Tuesday, February 1, 2022 in the afternoon at 5 p.m. precisely. The young woman intervened in a road accident. The victim was taken care of by the emergency services but was fortunately only slightly injured. The driver was arrested with difficulty, then placed in police custody in the premises of the Bayonne police station.

The driver refused to stop when he was very agitated, driving his car, in front of Endarra College. The motorist then fled before causing a second accident at the Bernain crossroads. This is where the young policewoman arrived on the scene first, with one of her colleagues from the municipal police of Anglet. It was during the arrest of the driver that the police officer was injured. The victim fell heavily to the ground. Extremely upset, the driver was then brought under control by other national and municipal police officers who arrived on the scene.
