Central – President General Michel Suleiman mourned “the late creator Romeo Lahoud, son of the city of Amchit” in a statement, and said, “Lebanon has lost a banner of art, culture and creativity, at a time when the country needs innovations and creations to get out of the successive trials whose repercussions afflict the entire people and put the people of art like everyone else. The Lebanese are perplexed. This is how we defended Lebanon, its form and identity since prehistoric times, the Lebanon that Saint John Paul II called the homeland of the message?“
And he concluded: “The great do not die because their precious works immortalize their memory, and the works of Romeo Lahoud speak of him for ever and ever, from the country of Byblos to the corners of the earth”.
