Four children, aged four to nine, and the 52-year-old grandfather died in a fire in Pesochin on November 14.
Another 16-year-old boy survived the fire – this is the brother of the suspect, the mother of the deceased children. Before that, clarification in the Kharkov Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the cause of the fire isrelated to the operation of the heaters.
Law enforcement officials confirm that the mother left the home a few days before the accident. So, relatives looked after the children for about five days.
“According to the investigation, the accused, who is a mother of four boys, on November 9 left the children with her 52-year-old father, who had been ill for a long time, and together to her 16-year-old brother. . That day the woman left on “her own business” but never returned. Malicious failure to fulfill her parental responsibilities in caring for young children, including leaving them unsupervised, careless and indifferent to their fate, resulted in serious consequences in the form of the death of her son who was in the house,” wrote the prosecutor’s office.
Law enforcement officials said: a 29-year-old woman has already received suspicion for malicious failure to fulfill statutory obligations for child care, which led to serious consequences (Article 166 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Let us remember you on November 14 at the regional department of the State Emergency Service reportedthat a private house with a total area of 150 square meters was on fire in Pesochin. Five people died in the fire – four children and another 16-year-old man were saved. Rescuers also rescued a cat from the fire.
