A mother died rescuing her son from the teeth of a pit bull – 18+

A Wisconsin woman has died in hospital after trying to save her 4-year-old son from a pit bull attack, the American newspaper wausaudailyherald reports.

Heather Pingel, 35, was at home with her child when the pit bull attacked the boy. After hearing screams, the woman ran to the scene, then tried to pull the pet from her son. At that moment, the dog turned against her and attacked her, seriously injuring her.

Heather’s husband went home and found his wife lying on the bathroom floor. Their son was standing in the kitchen with a bloody leg. Heather was hospitalized for several weeks after the pit bull attack, but died of her injuries. The child received about 70 stitches on his leg, after which he was released home. Psychologists are currently working with him.

The husband admits that he had to defend himself from their pet and then take him out into the yard and shoot him.

According to the victim’s sister, Heather has been an animal lover all her life, and the pit bull has not shown any signs of aggression before.
