A 38-year-old mother drove an entire neighborhood in Burgas crazy by hanging her baby over the balcony, threatening to drop it.
The action took place in the residential complex “Meden Rudnik” this afternoon. The dramatic scenes shocked the residents of Block 81.
Around 5:30 p.m., 38-year-old R., a resident of the block, dangled her 4-month-old baby from the eighth floor and threatened to drop him on the tiles in front of the entrance. The incident became a cause for great concern among the neighbors, who immediately gathered in front of entrance “A”, expecting a quick response from the police, “Flagman” reported.
R.’s neighbors say that she often exhibits aggressive behavior and is well known to law enforcement. According to them, the woman has serious problems with drugs, which often leads to uncontrollable outbursts of violence. Because of these concerns, at the first sign of a problem – loud noise and screams coming from her apartment, one of the neighbors immediately called 112.
Initially, the smell of smoke began to waft from R.’s apartment, which further increased the tension among the neighbors. The woman then began throwing clothes over the balcony before appearing with her child in her arms and dangling him down, threatening to drop him.
The police responded quickly to the call and the first patrolman to arrive on the scene was able to enter the apartment by breaking down the door. At the last moment, the police managed to snatch the baby from R.’s arms before tragedy struck. At the same time, R.’s mother arrived and immediately took the boy.
