Who has never felt guilty after wishing someone’s birthday on the wrong day? In the United States, a mother has done worse. For two years, she was wrong about the date of birth… of her son. In a video on TikTok, relayed by Slate Sunday, Emily Vondrachek explains that she celebrated the birthday of her son, aged almost four, a day too late.
The mother also tells how she realized her mistake. While she is on the phone with her mutual concerning the billing of a visit to the pediatrician, her interlocutor tells her that the reimbursement cannot be made. The reason ? The date of birth recorded for her son does not match that recorded with the doctor’s office.

His Facebook account reveals the correct date of birth
The health insurance says he was born on February 25, 2018. Mas the young woman says her child was born the next day, February 26. “I am his mother, I know his date of birth,” she retorts, sure of herself, to her interlocutor. But the employee of the mutual does not budge. Confused, the mother hangs up and browses her Facebook account in search of the post that announced the birth of her son.
It was then that she understood that her son was indeed born on February 25, and not on the 26th, and that the mutual insurance company was right. Going back to her old publications, the American realizes that for two years, she always wished her child’s birthday a day too late.
