jpnn.com, YAMAN – A mosque and religious school in Yemen are destroyed, killing 29 people including women and children.
Masjid was ravaged after being hit by a ballistic missile from the Houthi group.
The news was conveyed by Yemen’s information minister in a statement on Twitter on Monday (1/11).
Two ballistic missiles were fired in the attack on Sunday night, the Marib governor’s office said.
There has been no claim of responsibility from the Iran-backed Houthi armed group for the attack.
Fighting between government and Houthi forces has escalated in recent months.
The United Nations (UN) says about 10,000 people were displaced in September by fighting in Marib, the government’s last stronghold in the north.
The United Nations calls for a pathway for humanitarian aid.
