The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has published visualizations of national costumes, giving fans their first insight into the national team shirts.
In Beijing, the Latvian national hockey players, led by Harijs Vītoliņš, will skate on the field with uniforms crossed by a two-colored horizontal stripe. The light uniforms of the home games are crossed by a carmine red stripe, while the dark outfits are a correspondingly light element of the horizontal stripe.

The hockey tournament of the Beijing Olympic Games will start on February 9, but the Latvian national team will go on the ice a day later to play against the Swedish national team. Latvians will also compete with the Finnish and Slovak national teams in the group tournament.
The Olympic tournament in China will take place without the biggest stars in hockey, because in the conditions of Covid-19, the NHL has decided not to let its players into the tournament.
