In the match of the 3rd round of PKO BP Ekstraklasa, we defeated GKS Katowice 1-0 away after a goal by Jean Carlos. This is the second victory of Medaliki in the new season!
The match started with an attack from the hosts. Aleksander Komor tested Trelowski for the first time in the 6th minute of the match. Raków quickly tried to respond. Vladyslav Kochergin decided to try a strong shot from a distance, but his shot sailed over the goal. The next few minutes were marked by GKS’s attempts. The situation changed in the 29th minute of the match. Jean Carlos used Fran Tudor’s cross, who beat Dawid Kudła with a header. In the 41st minute, Kacper Trelowski made a great intervention, effectively defending Komor’s shot.
GKS started the second half with a strong accent. In the 49th minute, Błąd shot close to the goal. A moment later, Crnac tried to surprise Kudła. The Raków striker’s shot was barely saved by the hosts’ goalkeeper. Then “GieKSa” started attacking again. Trelowski showed another great intervention, stopping Lukas Klemenz in the 57th minute. In the last quarter of an hour, Adriano Amorim had a chance, but his shot hit the side netting. A few minutes before the end of regular time, Erick Otieno had a great chance to increase the score. In added time, the hosts looked for an opportunity to equalize, but in the end the match ended in our victory.
