The explosions in Poland have made world leaders flutter. A man probably helped to calm the situation quickly.
Rockets rained down on Ukraine on Tuesday. Never before have so many missiles been fired on the war-torn country. But then it hit a new place. Over the border, in Poland. Two explosions were heard in a small village. Two men in their 60s died. The NATO country Poland has been attacked.
The threat of war between NATO and Russia felt closer than ever.
– I was worried, said General Secretary Jens Stoltenberg about the reaction to the first messages.
But within a day he was able to tell the world that this was not an attack from Russia.
How could he know? And so right after?
A NATO source tells Aftenposten that the incident is being taken very seriously.
But there were no major dramas when the news from Poland arrived. Why not?
