A Minsk resident fell for the scammers’ trick and lost 120 thousand rubles | Incidents

The Minsk police are identifying the criminals who defrauded the man of about 120 thousand rubles. About it reported in the Pervomaisky district police department of Minsk.

The department explained that the attackers called the victim via messenger and introduced themselves as employees of the National Bank and the KGB. They said that the Minsk resident had a bank account for a large amount and strongly recommended that he pay off the debt of 120 thousand rubles. Allegedly, this amount of damage was caused to the state. The man did so, but soon realized that he had been deceived.

The police department reminded of the need to pay attention to the number of the incoming call (often the call comes from another country with a similar code). Under no circumstances should you tell strangers your payment card details; you should not install third-party applications on your mobile phone at their request.
