The founder and chairman of the Million Moments for Democracy Association, Mikuláš Minář, has been negotiating his entry into politics for several months. At first, he was in close contact with the chairman of the Mayors and the Independent, Vít Rakušan, who openly offered him an engagement in STAN colors. He is now negotiating a possible candidacy for next year’s parliamentary elections with the chairman of the Prague movement himself and the mayor of Prague 7, Jan Čižinský. This was confirmed to the Euro weekly by two sources from the Million Moments for Democracy association and three other sources from the Chamber of Deputies. Neither Čižinský nor Minář refuted this when asked directly.

“In recent months, I have talked to a lot of amazing people who have something to say about how to put our homeland in order after years of chaos and embezzlement,” Čižinský indirectly admitted negotiations with the Minar. The deputy elected for KDU-ČSL does not hide his plans to create a new group, which could shuffle cards on the national political scene next year. And the leader of the Million Moments for Democracy association, Mikuláš Minář, has to help him with that.

“What I have repeatedly said publicly continues to apply: A million moments will not go into politics, it is a closed possibility. Personally, a look at the current political scene leads me to consider all options, “he told the weekly Euro Minář.

The head of the Million Moments for Democracy association has been largely replaced by the new executive director Marie Jahodová, who now manages the association’s activities.
