A mid-engine Chevrolet Camaro? Put me two

Definitely Chevrolet it has been played transforming one of its icons, the Corvette, in a central motor sports. A transformation with which he will surely be able to catch up with his main European rivals on the track and who knows if it was his, but. Will it convince the most staunch fans of genuine American sports? Your sales will tell us shortly.

While that day arrives there are designers who have decided to follow the open path with Chevrolet imagining what another of its icons would be like, the Chevrolet Camaro with a confirmation of central motor. And is that this series of proposals are not new, as we saw not long ago for example with the classic Supra.

The result of a long wait

In this case it has been Gabe Design who has decided to imagine the American muscle car with this new style while, as he himself explains in the Instagram post, he seeks to kill time while waiting for his new Corvette to be delivered.

And the result of that wait is this impressive render that shows the features of the current generation of the Camaro, although that is prior to the most recent restyling. A model whose features seem to have seamlessly integrated into this new mid-engine body style, with a lower front but that still maintains its hallmarks although with a larger and more elegant drop of its hood in a dark finish and a somewhat smaller grille, which together gives it a look even sportier.

We can also appreciate a rear that, although we cannot see in its entirety, seems to bet on a design similar to that of the Corvette C8, and an even wilder side thanks to its sharp skirts, more bulky wheel arches and air inlets reminiscent of a Lamborghini.

The sports car you didn’t know you wanted

With all this, the truth is that although many would never have thought that Chevrolet needed a mid-engine Camaro, seeing this design surely more than one will have started to bite the worm and will also have started to let their imaginations run wild.
