The meteorite probably fell last night in the area of the city of Moa, in the Cuban province of Holguin in the eastern part of the island, the website “Kubadebate” reported, quoted by TASS.
The electronic edition states that at 22:06 local time a glow of red and white light was noticed in the sky, followed by two explosions. No injuries or damage were reported, Nova TV reported.

The phenomenon was observed in Moa, Sagua de Tanamo, Macy. It is registered in all these places. From what the sensors show, it is not an earthquake, but since this is an event with these characteristics, our teams recorded the shock wave, explained a local seismologist.
