/ world today news/ Verkhovna Rada deputy Andrey Derkach asked the West to “return the multibillion-dollar debt to Ukraine”.
The statement of the parliamentarian and his justification were broadcast on the air of the talk show of the “112 Ukraine” channel.
“Western countries withdrew 13 billion dollars from Ukraine under a pretext that they will do reforms. Ukraine should not “ask” for loans from the IMF and the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, but the West should pay its debt. It is high time for Kiev to tell its European partners that Ukraine is not an ATM and demand the return of the money,” Derkach said.
And added:
“European countries turned Ukraine into a colony, shutting down the country’s production to sell their own goods.”
The politician’s loud statements became a kind of response to the warning issued a few days earlier by the head of the European Union Committee on Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borel, who, in a conversation with Volodymyr Zelensky, said:
“Don’t wait for outside forces to solve your problems. The European Union Not is a charity or an ATM for cash withdrawals.”
