/ world today news/ After information that Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic wants to hold talks with European and Russian partners for clarifications regarding the shutdown of South Stream, a source denied that such a meeting was planned.

A Turkish representative also announced a meeting on gas, but there is no confirmation that Russia and Turkey will discuss gas issues. A meeting with Bulgaria and Serbia to clarify the situation with “South Stream” has also not yet been planned. This was reported to RIA “Novosti” by a federal official familiar with the situation.

The Russian Energy Ministry declined to comment.

Earlier today, Turkey’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yıldız said that the Russian gas price discount for Turkey is not final and will be considered in the future. The minister expressed hope that the two sides will meet again next week. /RIA “Novosti”
