After being absent from them for a quarter of a century, the Sudanese teacher, Awad Al-Karim, returned to meet his students at Al-Shafi’i High School in the Rijal Al-Ma’ district in southwestern Saudi Arabia, in a ceremony of welcoming and loyalty.
The English language teacher, who was absent for many years, described his return to Saudi Arabia as a journey of fulfillment.
He told Al-Arabiya.net: “I spent more than 20 years in education, traveling between the regions of Saudi Arabia, and the last stop was at Al-Shafi’i High School with Rijal Almaa.” He explained that after the death of his wife as a result of a health problem, and what left her departure in himself, he decided to return to the place where he spent his happy moments in Rijal Almaa.
He also continued: “I found a warm welcome from my students, as they shamed me with their generosity and loyalty. Every day of reception and every day of invitation and hospitality, my feelings cannot be described, and my joy with this great fulfillment of me and the years of work.”
In addition, he confirmed that he felt proud that his students had become teachers, engineers, doctors and prominent figures in society, considering that this is a source of pride and pleasure for every teacher.
He concluded by stressing that he “loves his second country, Saudi Arabia,” adding, “My children and I lived there until I left in 1999 due to family circumstances.”
While a resident of the city of Rijal Al-Amaa, Issa Al Hadi Al-Asiri, tweeted, saying: He came to Saudi Arabia as a teacher in the governorate of #Rijal_Almaa in 1405 AH; And he continued with it until 1420 AH .. to leave and return to it in 1444 AH, to find his students in the intermediate and secondary schools welcoming and honoring him out of loyalty to their teacher.
