A medical woman in the Ulyanovsk region of Russia contracted COVID-19 despite receiving two doses of the Sputnik V vaccine. On Wednesday, March 31, reports Interfax with reference to the chief epidemiologist of the region, Fira Sayfutdinova.
She noted that after the vaccination, the woman’s parents fell ill, she looked after them and contracted the coronavirus herself on the 20th day after the second dose.
According to Sayfutdinova, the health worker’s illness went away “very easily – only the sense of smell disappeared, after a couple of days everything was restored.”
