A mayor of Romania wanted to hack the carriers who do not respect the size limits. The measure outraged all drivers crossing the area

The situation is recorded on drumThe communal 31A, which connects Stăuceni and the village of Tocileni, a road that was rehabilitated by the local administration through PNDL II and cost almost 1.2 million euros (no – 6.8 million lei).

Two road signs have been installed to warn that the road is narrowing and that there is a speed restriction of 30 kilometers per hour.

Traffic in the area is strangled, as the space between the two concrete blocks allows access for only one car. Drivers passing by say that improvisation is extremely dangerous, as it is not properly signposted and does not comply with road regulations.

The reception was signed last year and, after the modernization works on the national road 29D Botoșani – Ștefănești started, the car traffic for cars and cars up to 7.5 tons was temporarily diverted on this road.

However, although toll road signs were set up, carriers disregarded them and started hauling heavy trucks there.

In fact, the first threats to block the road for trucks have appeared since last autumn. Then, angry that the freshly poured asphalt on the communal roads began to be destroyed by heavy trucks.

The idea materialized in the spring of this year, when the concrete railings were installed. It’s just that the roadblock became the subject of discussion only a few days ago, when, outraged by the situation, the drivers posted some pictures on a social network.

Therefore, the representatives of the Traffic Police reacted, and during the day of Wednesday, April 27, they were in control on the road in question and sanctioned the mayor’s office.

Currently, the road has been cleared by the mayor’s office, but they are thinking of other measures to restrict traffic.
