An eyewitness who took photographs at the scene said that in some places the shrimp layer reaches 15 centimeters.
According to Evgeny Sokolov, a researcher at the Institute of Marine Biology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, there can be many reasons for shrimp pestilence – from an increase in air temperature to water pollution.
Earlier it was reported that on the Molochny estuary near the village of Kirillovka, Zaporozhye region revealed massive fish mortality.
