Australian Peter Charlton won quite a lot of money from the Tatts lottery some time ago. The prize was £ 500,000.
The man decided not to spend that money on himself. He began to help friends and family financially, as well as complete strangers who find themselves in difficult situations as a result of the pandemic, writes The Scottish Sun.
To honor the memory of his late Uncle Charlie, who died of an incurable disease, Peter bought three lottery tickets. When he found out that one of the tickets was winning, the man immediately realized that he would not keep this money for himself.
After the Australian won, he first started sending messages completely anonymously to those people who followed him on Facebook. He offered to help them financially and send the necessary amount to a bank account. Many people immediately thought that this was some kind of fraud.
At the same time, many people agreed with his proposals, but this was not the end of Peter’s activities. He went to the city and began to pay for any purchases of complete strangers. Part of the money was donated to people with disabilities and homes for the elderly. After handing out his winnings, Peter said he did it because he loves helping people.
