A man who lost his sight sues a company producing the Corona vaccine – Cedar News

While it is possible that the Corona vaccine may lead to rare side effects that affect vision, there is not enough scientific evidence to support the claim that Corona vaccines can cause vision loss.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the most common side effects of coronavirus vaccines are mild and include pain, redness, and swelling at the injection site, headache, fatigue, muscle aches, and fever.

A German court rejected a lawsuit by a man who claimed to have lost sight in his right eye after receiving the “BioNTech-Pfizer” vaccine against the Corona virus.

The 58-year-old man demanded compensation of 150,000 euros from the company “BioNTech” for all material and non-material damages, according to what the newspaper “Süddeutsche Zeitung” reported on its website.

This is not the first time this type of case has been raised in Germany.

It is also not the first time that a German court has refused to consider it, citing “lack of justifiable reasons.”

In the latest case, the Rottweil Regional Court did not investigate the issue of whether the BioNTech vaccine caused blindness, but rather held that the requirements for filing a case were not met.

The plaintiff, according to the court, had to prove that errors had occurred in the vaccine licensing process or that new scientific results had led to a change in the assessment of the ratio of benefits to risks.
