A man tried to enter a mall in Plovdiv by presenting a certificate with the name of the French president, BNT reported. After checking the document from his mobile phone, officers were surprised to find that Emmanuel Marcon’s name was coming out.

“Naturally, we were skeptical and called 112. He was asked for his ID card and asked to leave,” said Alexander Shingulev, a manager of a large retail outlet.

From there they point out that there was nothing French in his client and he was entirely Bulgarian. The shops complain that they are subject to such scams on a daily basis by visitors.

Stricter measures come into force in Plovdiv on Monday. Strict inspections for violators are starting in the malls. In addition to being adults, the validity of green certificates will be monitored.
