The Szekszárd District Prosecutor’s Office has indicted a 40-year-old man from Óbánya who, in August 2019, on a roundabout on Main Road No. 6, took revenge on a regular car with criminal braking.
According to the facts of the indictment, the man was moving towards Budapest on the 6th in the Szekszárd area. Outside of him, his wife, mother-in-law, and two minor children were traveling in the car. The perpetrator – on a section of road suitable for parallel traffic – passed by a high-speed car driven by a 35-year-old man from Szigetszentmiklós while “huddled” because he thought the driver had previously turned onto the road irregularly. The driver’s 46-year-old partner was still traveling in the victim’s vehicle.
Arriving at the roundabout on the M9, the man unexpectedly braked his vehicle to a standstill, causing the injured car behind him to crash into him from behind. Then the driver and passenger of the innocent car, as well as the 40-year-old man from Óbánya, also got out, whom the woman asked about what she was doing and why she was endangering the lives of her and her own children?
The perpetrator then punched the woman in the face several times in the midst of derogatory expressions, then sat back in her car and drove away. The woman suffered bruised, minor injuries as a result of the abuse.
With his behavior, the man directly endangered the lives and physical integrity of the passengers in the car he was driving and behind him. The prosecutor’s office demanded a suspended prison, a fine and a ban on driving on the road, in addition to endangering the road and also accusing the man of harassment and light bodily harm.
