Was it a failed settling of scores? This is the question that arises among the police force in the Paris region, interviewed by the Figaro this Wednesday, June 2, a few hours after the arrest of three visibly agitated individuals.

At around 9 a.m., in the rue de l’Abbé-Roger-Derry in Vitry-sur-Seine (Val-de-Marne), a surreal scene shook the neighborhood: while three people were having a coffee on the terrace , a fourth individual came up in front of them, handgun in hand, and fired three times at one of the men at the table. Despite shooting at point blank range, neither the victim nor his two associates were injured, we learned, confirming information from the Parisian .
But the matter does not end there. On the run, the attacker was pursued in the streets of the city by the man targeted and one of his friends. At the end of a long chase of several minutes, the shooter was caught, knocked down, then beaten, in particular with a stone. The three protagonists were finally arrested when the police arrived. They were remanded in custody.

The alleged perpetrator, who suffers from a head trauma, was taken to hospital. His .45 ACP caliber weapon was found near the scene. An investigation was opened and entrusted to the departmental judicial police service (SDPJ). The three individuals would be known to the police, we are told, thus evoking the track of a settling of scores.
